Egress, a handsome tuxedo teenager (DOB 10/2023) with a funny little white mustache, was taken in by his rescuer when his original family no longer could keep him and planned to bring him to Animal Care & Control. In his rescuer’s care as she got him neutered and vetted, Egress revealed himself to be is a very typical teen cat – wide-eyed, full of energy, and trying to figure out how he’s meant to navigate the world. He loves to play and goes crazy for kicker toys and cat dancers. When Egress switches out of crazy kitten mode, he ‘ll eagerly snuggle up on the bed or perch nearby while you’re working. He is happy to be picked up and sit on your lap (though he might not stay for long as he has things to do, like cats to wrestle with, the passing world to look out at from his window sill, and his daily exercises of sprinting back and forth. Though he has mellowed since his neuter, this young boy remains a high-energy cat. In his excitement during an active play or petting session, he might think your hands are toys and do some play-biting … but this smart boy has been a star pupil in learning that humans don’t quite enjoy the rough-housing that an active feline buddy would provide. So, dear boy Egress would be best adopted into a home with another young, active cat: He gets along famously with his rescuer’s fearless, giant two-year-old male, though he plays a bit too hard for his foster sister. A lover of other cats, Egress also loves human attention, so long hours left alone might not suit him. This adorable, funny, nutty (in a good way!), loving teenager will keep you entertained!
