Wilbur has had a long journey to become the wonderful cat he is, and what he now needs, and deserves, is that perfect person to appreciate him. Is that you? Wilbur needed a lot of help shedding his fear of humans and, finally having had that �schooling,� he has blossomed! In a new environment or with strangers, he�ll be shy, but with love and patience, he�ll show you the cat his foster mom describes as a "completely loving boy � so sweet." Once you earn his trust, this 3-year-old tabby will bond deeply to you. As his foster mom reports: "To most people, Wilbur is probably a classic meatloaf cat. I think of him as my boyfriend who only has eyes for me and wants all my attention. When he's in the mood, he presses his face into mine and rubs me with his cheek. He is super cuddly now and lets me pet him all over, squish his cheeks and ears and I can pick him up although he doesn't like to be held for long. He will demand pats while I�m sitting on the couch and he sleeps behind me on the cushion." Wilbur may still get spooked on occasion, for no apparent reason, but he�ll soon emerge from his safe place and seek some reassurance � meaning petting! Wilbur is pretty low energy, batting a toy mouse every so often, but generally chill. He loves the Zen aura of a quiet home, preferably as a single cat. (He got along well with an older cat, chasing and cuddling together, but was jealous and unhappy with a cat his own age.) His foster mom raves about his good nature: "He's so sweet, he's a mush. When we have our cuddle sessions, he looks at me with such adoration it melts my heart."
