10 years 0 months. Pikachu is a senior kitty with a gentle soul who’s looking for a safe, stable, and loving forever home. After being abandoned at a Brooklyn emergency and specialty hospital (VERG), he’s been through several placements—and now he’s being cared for by a veterinary social worker until the right person comes along.
🩺 Pikachu is diabetic and takes 1 unit of insulin twice a day (12-hour schedule). He also takes .25 mL Cisapride for GI motility on a separate 12-hour schedule.
🍽 He eats two large meals daily and is on a prescription diet (Hills m/d) that may eventually allow him to discontinue insulin.
🐱 He’s sweet, resilient, and deserves a forever home with someone who can keep to his routine and give him the love and care he needs.

(Note from KittyKind: You may not believe it, but managing diabetes in cats with insulin is pretty easy. The needle used is very small and they rarely complain, even the most complain-y of cats.)
