2 years 2 months. Oz is a handsome fella with a silky black coat and beautiful golden eyes. 2 year old Oz was found in a backyard on Long Island when he decided the indoor life was for him. He’s still a bit skittish getting used to some noises or movements, but he absolutely loves human affection. Once he warms up to you, he will give you soft purrs, head butts, and will rub against your legs. He enjoys hunting catnip mice and can be as playful as a kitten. Oz is extremely food motivated; you can easily win his heart with a little bribery. He may be trainable to do tricks. (Right now, the only trick he knows is how to make his food disappear.) Oz is ready for his forever home and would do best with a calm environment with someone who is patient. It is very rewarding seeing him blossom. He will roll over for head scratches and purr with content.
Oz is a cat with cutaneous horns, known as “horned paws”. Cutaneous horns are relatively common and are the result of an overproduction of keratin. These callus-like growths aren’t particularly worrisome and Oz isn’t bothered by them!
Oz is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. To adopt Oz, come meet him during adoption hours at Petco Union Square!
