Bean Bag
Domestic Short Hair
1 year 6 months.
Bean Bag is an amazing miracle cat who has been through quite a lot in his young life! He was found in Brooklyn by a dedicated TNR (trap-neuter-return) person, chilling under a bush. He had literally been living on trees bark and candy wrappers, and his rescuer noticed that there was something wrong with his back legs. The vet discovered that both his back legs and his pelvis were fractured, probably the result of being hit by a car. As luck would have it, his vet recommended waiting a month before doing any surgery to see if the fractures would heal on their own--and they did! Through all this--his crazy survival skills, his dramatic rescue, and several months of limited activity so he could heal, Bean Bag has remained a cheerful, friendly, and affectionate cat. He got along very well with his cat pals at his foster home, and he would even play with a toddler! He's just an all-around great cat. Bean Bag can spend hours looking out of windows .. and should have a perch to allow that. He uses scratching toys regularly and has impeccable litter box manners, eats well and will politely ask for his food! He loves being petted and brushed and purrs endlessly. He really is a sweet cat who is really excited to be on his way to living his best life! Bean Bag adores other cats, and would be very happy in a home with another friendly cat. He's FIV and FeLV negative, neutered, and up-to-date on shots.
