Shamooni, a Persian mix, is an older lady with a few health challenges. Her previous home thought she was an “aggresive” cat, but we think much of her defensiveness comes from discomfort. As she starts to feel better, we’re seeing her true personality shine. Shamooni independent but affectionate. She is shy but is sweet and loving once she trusts you. Shamooni loves to “talk,” using her cute meows and chirps to tell you exactly what she wants. She can be a lap cat, but she also loves quiet companionship — curling up nearby, relaxing in your presence, and finding peace just knowing you’re close. With patience, kindness, and gentle care, Shamooni is slowly learning to trust again. Watching her open up a little more each day has been such a gift.
