Reggie: Courtesy Post
Domestic Short Hair
White and Tabby
3 years 1 month.
Reggie has not had an easy life. This ~3 year old was trapped during TNR in November, neutered, vaccinated and released again. But Reggie turned out to be very friendly. He did't belong or know how to cope with life outside. Reg is likely an abandoned house cat, given how social he is. Reggie's feeder noticed a large wound on his belly while he was rolling around on the ground. We were able to get him into a carrier and to the vet. Reggie was a great patient! His wound was cleaned and is healing (although it doesn’t look pretty). This is when he was diagnosed with FIV. Still, through all these hardships, Reggie remains a happy cat who loves the company of people. FIV in adult cats is not a death sentence. Now that Reggie is indoors, he will likely live a long, happy life. Regular vet care will keep him healthy. Reggie is one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. He has all the qualities you would want in a pet cat. He runs to greet you when you enter the room. He follows you around and is the perfect companion. He loves to be pet all over (especially on the head and chin). He loves to roll on his back for belly rubs. He never bites, swats or scratches (we have tried to push his limits and is always gentle). He jumps on the bed to be with you. Whether to just lay next to you or coming for rubs. We can only say wonderful things about Reggie. His ability to stay and be happy through all his troubled times is an inspiration. We hope that his gentle and friendly nature is able to overcome his FIV+ status and inspires someone to give him the forever home he deserves. You can see a video of Reggie here! Reggie is with his rescuer. Please email us at about this great cat!
